Peter’s love for architecture

This story was shared by: Ina Heumann

While working on Peter’s book I came across Ayn Rand’s book ‘The Fountainhead’, which is one reason Peter was interested studying architecture. It wasn’t for too long as he discovered fine arts and ultimately graphic design. But finally I thought, I need to read this book. Even published in 1943, the book is still available, even in German. And when I started to read, I immediately understood Peter’s interest in architecture. The form of a building must follow its function. The structure of the building is the key to its beauty. A building can have its own integrity. Every piece is necessary for the building. This sounds like Peter, right!? This also explains his involvement as Creative Director at adidas in the buildings at our campus in Herzogenaurach. Just look at his sketches and the models he built. I still have the photographs Peter took from those… yes, real prints.

…Thanks for sharing Ina
